In 1966 Midland Red recieved a fleet of fifty-one new Leyland Leopard coaches which meant farewell to the 1954 Willowbrook bodied C3 coaches. However some were retained as they had been rebodied by Plaxton as new touring coaches in 1962. The heavy looking bodies on these were not very sound and none of these coaches passed in to preservation.
