Diana by the lake (1996)

This picture is a bit strange as I thought of a painting in the art gallery in Lausanne called 'Diana' of a girl with feathers around her shoulders. So I imagined my girl riding her bicycle along the edge of Lake Geneva should also have that title. Of course whenever anyone mentions Diana they always think of Lady Di. A little while after I made this picture to my great surprise on a 'holiday program' I saw TV presenter Jill Dando riding her bicycle along the same stretch I was thinking about. How wierd though that this picture should have connections to both lovely women who I greatly admired and who should die in horrible circumstances.
