Jugendstil Apartments

It seems a miracle somehow that fine examples of Jugendstil architecture like these beautifully adorned apartments not only managed to survive The Second World War but also fifty-years of Communist dogma and neglect. But like much of Gorlitz they have been fully restored and had the man not been standing on the doorstep creating a good composition I might never have taken this one.
