The Leyland Atlantean like the Routemaster has graced our streets for Fifty-Years which is quite an achievement but like it's London counterpart it has virtually disappeared. In 1980 as well as the visually similar Daimler Fleetline there were 1165 Atlanteans at Manchester making it the largest user of the type. As the undertaking owned the concern most of the later AN 68 generation had bodywork by Northern Counties but many examples could be seen by Park Royal as well.
