No.1749 demonstates why this series were called the Bosnian Tanks..
When Shearings went into bus operation under the banner Timeline it chose the cheapest suitable workhorses it could find and these were the Alexander N bodied Tiger built in Northern Ireland. Square and functional when in all-red they rather justified their 'Bosnian Tank' nickname. However they were a good buy as they seemed particularly rugged.They came from two batches and whereas the F-reg series were powered by Cummins, Stafford saw mostly the E-red buses which were similar to our other Leyland powered Tigers.
