When I was at school in Switzerland during the Sixties I was fascinated by the Post Buses. When I returned well over twenty years later I reaqainted myself with them. At that time almost half of the fleet comprised of Saurer RH buses built to PTT specification. Last in a long line of classic Swiss built buses they have nearly all gone now and are sadly missed by both staff and transport enthusiasts. Although Bern's allocation of about thirty-three was mostly the ubiquitous Mercedes 405 two or three RH's could be found too including a regular P24229 bodied by Tuscher in 1979.
