Teenagers in Zgorzelec
The townscapes quickly
moved on in East Germany after Reunification as funds were made available
to modernize the infrastructure. But Poland seems to be trapped in it's
poverty as it has no rich aunt to bail it out and the differences between
the close neighbors becomes apparent the moment one crosses into Poland.
However the Poles are a proud people and the place might seem to be stuck
together with old nails but there was hardly no litter in the streets
and the national flag fluttered over many a pavement. No doubt with the
help of the EEC they will eventually catch up and these teenagers can
look forward to fruitful lives.
